Interplanetary Shock (or CME Arrival)
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Location: Earth
Event Time: 2022-12-04T12:09Z ( DSCOVR: PLASMAG )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
DSCOVR: PLASMAG
ACE: MAG
Activity ID: 2022-12-04T12:09:00-IPS-001 (version 2)
Quality of ICME Signature: 1 (lacks some signatures)
Note: Magnetic amplification at L1, only reaching about 8 nT but followed by component rotation. Plasma data inconclusive, but may possibly be a weak ICME arrival superposed with existing coronal hole high speed stream influence. Candidate CME for this arrival is 2022-12-01T07:48Z, but there were 2 weaker ICME arrivals anticipated for 3-4 Dec: CMEs 2022-11-29T20:24Z and 2022-11-30T08:24Z.
